AK Solves its Oedipus Complex...
With RoS out of the way we had a frantic week of crafting 40 peoples worth
of shadow res gear for the upcoming fight with Mother. With this done we
managed a few attempts during the last 20mins of our Sunday run, getting her
down to around 60%... The next raid, we turn up with the EasyMother mod
installed and shes down to 5% first pull, dead the next - one of the easiest
fights in the instance.
Congratulations to those who got their T6 shoulders and congratulations
to Blizzard on making the hilarious trash heading up to Mother!
With mother dead and 3/4 of a raid left we proceded to go have a look at the
Illidari Council. After numerous wipes on pulling (read: Tiddly getting his head
kicked in by all 4 mobs... repeatedly...) we got it right and during the few pulls
after we got them down to around 60%.
Expect their heads to be on our pikes by the end of next week!
Reliquary kicked in the rear face!
Huzzah! After a few nights on RoS we killed the raskard with everything
going swimmingly! Once again, as has been the trend with our recent kills,
ret loot drops to the delight of everyone (grats Danice).
With the tri-faced monster out the way it is onto Mother Shazz and the joy
of crafting oodles of shadow res. gear.
As such, if anyone has any Hearts of Darkness theyd willingly sell to
the guild let me know! Recruitment wise - were pretty much open to decent
recruits from every class, but mainly healers - read:
RESTO DRUIDS, LOTS AND LOTS OF RESTO DRUIDS!

After a few nights of trying Teron Gorefiend eventually someone other
than Trell got to practice the ghost game and he went down to the fury
of our dps - we were rewarded with ret loot much to everyones delight
With this we are now changing gears - we will begin to farm BT and MH
weekly as opposed to bi-weekly leaving 1/2 days a week to try a progression
boss or two - Archimonde or Gurtogg Bloodboil is the current choice -
answers on a postcard...
Fatty on Fatty Action
So, after a few nights on Azgalor and some painful wipes (6%... 1%...)
we threw the fattest tank in the raid at him (and the one with the hariest arse)
and he went down pretty darn smoothly and giving us our first lot of T6
- congrats Vorm, Tiddles and Shambone on the gloves!

After this we had some attempts on Archimonde and learnt that doomfires suck
and pvp trinkets need 10s cooldowns...
He did go down to 68% though, next stop:
dead archimonde or dead teron gorefiend, whichever one comes first.
Murasame, Proud guildhead of Angelic Knights
Oh yeah... the front page..
So, since we killed Lady Vashj, Angelic Knights have been very busy.
We decided our next target would be Kael'thas and as such, promptly killed A'lar!
A night an a half on Kael and we had him comfortably into phase 3 and could smell
the epics, however, we wanted to have a look at Mount Hyjal so had a peak.
One week later and we have Rage Winterchill, Kaz'rogal and Anetheron dead and
Azgalor sitting on an annoying 6% :/ This was somewhat unexpected progress so we
went into the Black Temple and promptly killed Warlord Najentus and had a
few positive attempts on Supremus.
As such, we expect more new kills in the upcoming weeks
- thanks to the guys and girls for getting us this far.
Recruitment : Holy Paladin, Resto Druid, Resto Shaman
Oh, and we killed Magtheridon, lol.

Straight to the heart!
After 5 nights of attempts on the bitch everything clicked and she went down
on the last pull of the night giving us our first few T5 helms and clearing SSC
once and for all. Huge grats to the guild and massive salute to those that took part.
A special thanks to Vormegon for dragging our assess this far through the content!
Next on the horizon - Kael'thas Sunstrider, Archimonde and Illidan and wed like to
recruit a few Resto Druids and Resto Shamans to take along for the ride!
All in all, a very happy end to SSC! I love it when a plan comes together.

On our second night of attempts on Fathom Lord Karathress led to his demise,
as predicted by the fact that I was once again present in the raid and im awesome.
With this boss nobbed it was off to have a try on big lady V.

Second night of attempts, second attempt of the night - 1 dead blind man,
minus his seeing eye dog. This kill was obviously inspired by the presence
of our enigmatic guild head *cough* who was forced to spec holy
and bail the gang out.
With this it leaves us 1 boss short of nobbing (technical term)
Lady Vasjh and the completion of SSC! Woo!
Congratulations go to Vorm and Freda who actually got to spend DKP and to
Gestahlt who finally got his T5 shoulders (2nd warrior in guild to have them, lol)
Murloc Hunting License Granted, Naga License Pending
Last week we attempted and killed Morogrim Tidewalker, again, effectively
on the first night of trying - the kill came very swiftly, with 2 70% attempts
then being followed by an agonising 3% wipe after all hell broke loose with the
transition. After two ninja pulls by Soda who got confused in the excitement
and thought he was MT he died pretty darn quickly.
With Morogrim down it was decided to head for Fathomlord Karathress whom after a
few attempts seems to be practically in the bag. Roll on roll on Lady Vasjh.
And with Leotheras at 4% last try last night that won't be long!!
Id also like to say a big welcome to those who have and
are in the process of joining from Hope - welcome to the AK family!
AK UPDATE! PROGRESS N STUFF!
We have progressed steadily since the last time Ive updated.
The silly lurker is on farm as well as Hydross - who we pretty much
killed on the third attempt (had tried him previously 4 months ago
with a different bunch so 95% of the raid were new to him).

We also had a poke around Al'ar whilst we had nothing better
to do and got him nicely into phase 2.
Our next destination will probably be Fish Lord Maulgar as we cant
be arsed to keep making our mages respec and Arcane blows.
Recruitment wise - were pretty much set but would love to see
applications from budding and eager people - especially tanks and healers
Kicking Ass and Taking Names...
In the last few weeks AK has steadily moved forwards with first and
second kills of Baron Ghedd... I mean High Astromancer Solarian :
And a first kill of Halazzi:
With this our focus now shifts to Magtheridons lair (if we ever get
the right combinations of warlocks, healers and tanks ><)
and then on to Hydross or, if we are feeling sexy, Al'ar.
Recruitment wise we are still after:
Healers
Shamans of every spec.
We would also like to recruit:
2 x Mages
1 x Warlock
1 x Tank : Preferably Feral
Angelic Knights - Still Alive
After alot of internal rebuilding within the guild - almost total replacement of our
raiding team and the appointment of a new guildhead - we are back in good shape.
We are working towards our next targets of the Lurker, Magtheridon and Zul'Aman.
Progress in which is going well with two bosses deaded so far.

Though not holy paladins as we have a gazillion of them :/

As you can see we kicked Void Reaver's ass last nite
After the first attempt 2 weeks ago at 30% and the 2nd and 3rd this week
at 8% and 4%. We went back last nite and in one fell swoop he died.
Great achievement in what can arguably be called a shitty time,
vacations taking about half our people away atm.
They will be happy to see this when they come back from the sun!
After we were done with the big gay robot we went to Gruul and cleaned his clock
We'll continue to farm VR and Gruul's while we attempt to whack Lurker and Hydros

Deja Vu: Gruul Dead!
Great job on killing this bad boy again!
Sadly we were so busy owning him i forgot to fraps or screenshot it :P
But i got a nice show of us having some fun afterwards
getting our feet wet (and a lot more to) in SSC.
First not so serious attempt at Lurker Below got him down 10%,
not bad for just fooling around.
Soon he will swim with his fishy friends.
Awesome job folks, next SSC or TK will fall to our feet!

Karazhan and Gruul's Lair Progress
Just a little message to let the world know that AK
is still alive and kicking and has booked steady
progress in Karazhan and Gruul's Lair lately.
We're running Kharazhan on 3 nights every week
with 2 raid teams.
So far we have cleared:
# Attumen
# Moroes
# Maiden of virtue
# Opera event
# The curator
# Chess event
# Aran
The first six events are on farm.
In the next weeks we will focus on clearing
the whole of Karazhan.
